Fans of the original version and those who have watched the reruns of Sex and the City on HBO are anxiously waiting for the relaunch of the 1998-2004 series, which has launched a trend from head to toe. From hats to shoes, and of course those who often read this column-our favorite jewelry. Just Like That hasn’t premiered for a while, but the whole city is filming. Fashion designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago have an Instagram account @andjustlikethatcostumes that allows us to preview some jewelry. There are other accounts that have nothing to do with the show, but they are die-hard fashion and SATC fans who have created accounts, such as @justlikethat closet, etc. They have become jewelry detectives, and now they want to know whether the new series will have the same influence as the original in the direction of jewelry and fashion.
Designers whose works are selected will also be released with the stars in the series, so that we can get more information, not just a sneak peek.
Do you remember the jewelry styles in the first collection? Which of these styles have been off the chart and copied at every price point? Just to name a few-about Carrie Bradshaw played by Sarah Jessica Parker: The Carrie necklace in gold lettering she wore from the beginning of the series became part of her character, so much so that at the end of the series She lost her iconic necklace and found it in the torn part of her vintage Dior bag, which immediately lets you know that she will return to New York from Paris and end with Mr. Big. There are multiple diamond horseshoe pendants worn together in gradual lengths, large floral fabric brooches, huge hoop earrings, a pair, and Kelly's name as part of the design, a good/bad engagement ring from Aidan. 'good' was created by Harry Winston and features emerald-cut diamonds. Strings of messy pearls, reliefs and pinky rings are all outdated items, and when Carrie put them on, they came back to life. Patricia Field, the costume designer of the series and the first two films, knew that gal pal's fashion and jewelry had to be set off by giving each character a completely different style. Many of the pieces worn by Kristin Davis are well-known jewelers and diamond pieces, like those of Tiffany & Co. she wears. My mother had an influence on the jewelry of that period, and it continues to this day.
The question remains whether the restart will have the same impact on the direction the jewelry designer will take and the imitations at each price point? Judging from the current situation, many fashion trends have emerged: layered necklaces, vintage pendants, colorful dashi pendants, beaded necklaces, laminated bracelets and large chain bracelets. Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, wears all these styles and more, but that’s not to say that they won’t ignite and give rise to new creative versions.
Speaking of Charlotte (Davis) and Miranda (Nixon)-Charlotte wears a heart shape symbolizing her relationship with her husband Harry, and she continues to wear more exquisite jewelry, such as diamond tennis necklaces. Cynthia Nixon continued to wear more art jewelry, while newcomers such as Nicole Ari Parker and Sarita Choudhury wore works depicting the personalities of their characters.
Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago are no strangers to SATC. They participated in the HBO series and collaborated with Field to make costumes for the two films.
Here are some appearances of the shootings around Manhattan. I have been able to find some designers, but I am still doing some of my own private work to find all the designers that appear in these photos. Stand by, I will update this article when I find out.
