The award went to the composer Nuria Núñez for the work ‘Enjambres’. Núñez’s career has been recognized with distinctions such as the First Prize and Audience Prize in the Composition Competition for Orchestra at the 15th Weimar Spring Festival, the Rome Prize awarded by the German Academy of Arts (Villa Massimo / Casa Baldi) or the First Prize of the Autor-CNDM Foundation. She has also been composer-in-residence at the Spanish Academy in Rome, at the Thomas Mann-Villa Aurora (Los Angeles), at the National Youth Orchestra of Spain and at the Thüringer Landesmusikakademie (Sondershausen).
