It feels like forever since I talked about a good recreation in ever popular Animal Crossing: New Horizons but with a brand new update and DLC coming out soon, I have a feeling I will be discussing even more fan recreations very soon. For today, we’re looking at this fantastic recreation of Mabe Village from the Nintendo Switch game Link’s Awakening.

The recreation comes from Twitter user @ACNH_Barkenos- who is an Animal Crossing enthusiast- whose attention to detail is what makes this recreation stand out. The inclusion of a butterfly model in the exact place where a butterfly gently hovers around in the actual game is such a nice touch. Even the arrangements of the greenery and plant life around Link’s house look exactly like they do in the original. I love when creators have clearly put tons of work and effort into these sorts of recreations, displaying their passion for the project with the end result.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons seems to bring out the creativity in gamers, with tons of awesome islands being shaped to their creators will every day. It’s such a wholesome game and one that brings out the desire to create and build your own world or- as is the case here- replicate an existing one.
