Tuesday, in an exclusive partnership with multi-brand retailer Dover Street Market , New York–based jewelry designer Nina Runsdorf  is releasing a collection of earrings and rings to celebrate Frieze New York (May 18–22).

“Art is such an integral part of my life. It constantly fuels my creativity, so it made perfect sense to look at the art that I surround myself with for inspiration,” Runsdorf exclusively shares with JCK . “With this collection, we’re paying homage to New York City’s artistic communities and celebrating the power of creativity.”

This collection is a play on the designer’s iconic Flip rings (the design that launched the start of her brand in 2005) that were inspired by Alexander Calder’s mobile sculptures. “I’ve always believed that jewelry isn’t just a visual delight but that it should touch all the senses,” Runsdorf said in a statement on her website.

Keeping consistent with the vibrant enamel contrasted with precious stones used throughout the line, Runsdorf references the color plays in the works of artists including Shara Hughes, Jack Greer, Enoc Perez, Ahmet Ertug, and Samuel de Saboia from her personal collection. She incorporates shades of  French blue, acid green, and bright pink enamel, and precious stones including pink topaz, yellow citrine, garnet, and more. A celebration of the city’s art and design culture, and creative communities, the assortment of rings, earrings, enamel bands, and enamel hoops ranges from $1,150 to $6,400 per piece.
