I’ve been keeping a secret since April, and if you know me, I tell everything I know. Keeping this secret has been so hard on me, but I can finally tell all of you about the jewelry I’ve found that is timeless, classic, and modern all at the same time.

Pearls are timeless and classic and can be an heirloom passed down from generation to generation. I love the freshwater and baroque pearls because they are also modern looking. They invoke a sense of fun and whimsy, and when paired with leather, they have a boho vibe. Wearing pearls makes me feel classy, dressy, and elegant. October is the perfect month for this collaboration since it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The low inventory supply might have been blamed for my having to postpone my post since April, but I think it was divine intervention. I went for my yearly checkup last week, and they asked when was the last time I had a mammogram. Because of COVID, it had been several years, so we set me up to get a call from the mammography department. It turns out that almost everyone has gone without a mammogram for several years, so they are swamped. I couldn’t get an appointment until January of 2023. If you haven’t gotten a recent mammogram, you might want to call them now to get on the calendar.

Please don’t wait to get a mammogram. If your usual place is booked until January, go somewhere else. I got all my mammograms but skipped one during covid. I was found to have cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes. It was estrogen driven. I never took estrogen, but my body kept producing it even after menopause. They said because of the size, it had been there possibly 3 or 4 years because my type of cancer grows slowly. This means they missed it for a few years before covid: it does make a lump, but lines up. GET MAMMOGRAM ASAP!
Paulette, I have me on the call list if someone cancels. This is the only place that performs that type of mammogram I need, so I’m hoping they get a cancellation. I hope you are doing well, and thankfully, yours in the slow-growing type.
