The jewelry, which took more than two years to create, from conception to completion, is all about brightly colored gemstones, and because it’s Harry Winston, every gem in the series is individually hand selected for quality and color match. Santorini is all about shades of blue and white, using sapphires, aquamarines and diamonds to represent the blue-domed tops of the white-washed buildings that dot the Greek island. They are arranged to mimic the arrangement of buildings tiered along the steep cliffs of the coast.

For the necklace representing Paradise Harbor in Okinawa, Japan, Harry Winston reproduced the pink and pearl shades of the sunrise over the Pacific, using diamonds with alternative turquoise beads and white pearls, with pink sapphire accents.

The Amalfi Coast suite is set with turquoise, rubellites and rare Paraiba tourmaline to reflect the bougainvillea flowers that grow along the rocky cliffs and the bright blue waters of the Mediterranean below.

Fiji is all about the turquoise colored waters that surround it, represented here by rows of cabochon turquoise gems, along with diamonds that represent the white sand beaches. It is punctuated by blue sapphires.

St. Bart’s, the perfect Caribbean getaway, is all about the tranquil water and the shady palm trees. The necklace contains gradient shades of pear-cut gems in blue and green, using indicolite, blue and green Paraiba, mint tourmaline, green tourmaline and diamonds.

The Rainforest suite trades all blue for all green to reflect the lush landscape of the canopy. The necklace, ring and earrings are set with varying shades of green tsavorite, punctuated by diamonds to represent waterfalls, streams and the rays of light that peek through.
