Halloween is just around the corner and there are tons of exciting events happening to celebrate the holiday. Of course one of the most exciting parts about Halloween is dressing up. Whether you’re thinking about being Barbie, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, or a Euphoria character there are tons of places where you can find a costume. Sometimes they can be pricey but you don’t have to break the bank for a costume. That’s why we’ve gathered all the places where you can find costumes in the city.

Spirit Halloween is another great option if you’re looking for costumes. If you want to be a Sanderson sister, Eleven from Stranger Things, Mirabel, or a Powerpuff Girl you’ll find it at Spirit Halloween. They offer costumes for babies, kids, couples, and groups. You can also find accessories and decorations.

Candy’s costume shop offers everything from adult costumes to kids’ costumes, wigs, accessories and more. Whether you want to be Marilyn Monroe or be Cat Woman for a day they’ve got you covered. You can dress up your toddler as an adorable elephant or a polar bear.  The store is located on Mount Pleasant and is open until 7 pm on most nights.

It’s My Party is a one-stop shop. They sell party supplies, masks, makeup, wigs, and accessories. They have a variety of costumes for adults and kids, but we have to say that their pet costumes are some of the cutest we’ve seen. You can find costumes from Star Wars characters, Marvel characters, and many much-loved Disney characters. 

Another great costume shop is Theatrics Plus located in downtown Toronto. They sell everything you need to get into the Halloween spirit. You can find an assortment of costumes, cosplay accessories, makeup, balloons, and more. They close at 6:30 pm on most nights.

Get Halloween ready with Party City. They have a few locations that have got everything you need to not only be the best dressed but have an amazing Halloween party. You can find couple costumes and group costumes. They also have costumes from popular movies of the year like Thor, Top Gun, Batman, and Spiderman. They have three locations to shop from, and one of them is in Markham.

Another great thrift store for shopping for costumes is Flashback. Located at Queen Street West, the shop is known for being well-curated, for its friendly staff, and for being reasonably priced. You can check out what the store has to offer on its Instagram page.

Located at the heart of Kensington Market is Exile Vintage. The shop is well-curated and is known for having a great selection of Levi jeans. With their selection of clothes and accessories, you’ll surely be available to find something for your costume here. The shop is not only spoken highly of by Torontonians but also by Canadian journalist and fashion entrepreneur Jeanne Beker. She says she loves going to the store around Halloween.

If want to get crafty and create your own costume you can stop by the Value Village. You can easily find something to create a cat costume or even a witch. You’ll definitely be able to find accessories and decorations that you can use this Halloween. You can also check out their new boutique location on Queen Street West.

If you’re an online shopper, then Shein is a great place to shop for costumes. They’re affordable and they’re tons of options. No one wants to break the bank on a costume they most likely will only wear once. Whether you want to look like one of the Bridgerton sisters, a character from Euphoria, or dress up as your favourite celebrity, you’ll surely find something on Shein.

Amazon’s another great place to find a costume at a reasonable price. This year all things Y2K are trending and they are tons of great fictional characters from the 2000s that you could be for Halloween. The actress who played young Jenna Rink in 13 Going on 30, Christa Allen who is now 30, recreated the entire look on her Tik Tok page!

An almost exact replica of the dress is sold on Amazon for less than $20, but don’t forget the butterfly necklace and that spiky bun to complete the look.
