Lizzo is a vision in a fiery red gown at the 2022 Emmys.
The "About Damn Time" singer arrived on the red carpet tonight in a tulle strapless crimson gown with billowing sleeves, a short tutu skirt that was cinched at the waist, and a long train. The tulle also created a floral-like texture at the bust. The pop star styled the dramatic custom Giambattista Valli dress with matching red strappy sandal heels and accessorized simply with pearl drop earrings.
Lizzo kept her glam simple, opting for a natural, glossy makeup look, and her hair up in a messy ballerina bun.
Prior to making her entrance on the red carpet, she shared three photos of the glamorous look on her Twitter and Instagram accounts. "Hello, Emmys!" she wrote in the caption.
Lizzo is nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Competition Program category for her show Watch Out for the Big Grrrls—a milestone she celebrated with a sweet Instagram post last week. "WATCH OUT FOR THE EMMY AWARD WINNING BIG GRRRLS YALL! @thebiggrrrls," she captioned a video of her dancing with friends.
Just last month, Lizzo turned heads in another dramatic look at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. To the event, she wore a billowing navy blue gown pulled straight from Jean Paul Gaultier's spring/summer 2022 couture collection. The piece featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and cascades of iridescent fabric engulfing her figure. She accessorized with matching sheer opera gloves and gold jewelry, which included multiple hoop earrings, as well as a cuff adorning her green-tinted lips.
