Jay-Z and Beyoncé looked radiant in a new ad for jewelry retailer Tiffany & Co., but the most striking was one of Jean-Michel Basquiat. A painting never seen before.

After Bey posted the picture to her Instagram on Sunday night (August 22), a new ad called "About Love" appeared on social media, and the Carters looked happily in love. Hov is wearing a black tuxedo designed by June Ambrose and is shooting (using a Super 8 camera) his wife, who is wearing an elegant all-black dress and evening gloves, organized by Marni Senofonte. A huge Tiffany & Co. yellow diamond necklace valued at 30 million U.S. dollars hangs around Bey's neck. But the background is a rare painting by the late Jean-Michel Basquiat in the iconic robin egg blue of the jewelry company.

According to an article published in Women's Wear Daily on Monday (August 23), this painting by Basquiat was named "Equals Pi" in 1982. Tiffany & Co. purchased this artwork from a private collector.

"We don't have any documentation that he [Basquiat] created this painting for Tiffany," Alexander Arnault, Tiffany's executive vice president of product and communications, said in an interview with WWD. "But we know something about Basquiat. We know his family. We did an exhibition of his work at the Louis Vuitton Foundation a few years ago. We know that he likes New York, he likes luxury goods, and he likes jewelry. I Guess this [blue painting] is "This is not accidental. The color is very special and must be some kind of tribute. "

The luxury jewelry company said that they chose the Carters to participate in this promotion because their 13-year marriage is the epitome of modern love stories and represents the brand's values. Tiffany & Co.'s 2021 "About Love" event will be launched globally on September 2nd, and a short film on the theme of "Moon River" by Beyoncé will be released on September 15. Filmed by Hov using Super 8 camera.

WWD also reported that Tiffany is now controlled by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the company Jay-Z sold his Ace of Spades Champagne to the company earlier this year.
