A unique "cauliflower" necklace made of 2,162 precious diamonds and sapphires, inspired by fractal structures, will be auctioned in Warsaw.

If it reaches the guide price of 20-25 million zlotys, it will become the most expensive jewellery ever made in Poland.

The auction house Desa Unicum said: "This is one of the most expensive necklaces they have created. In the history of the Polish market, there has never been such an expensive piece of jewelry sold." Desa Unicum

The Julia necklace was designed by the famous designer Marc Newson for Boucheron, an exclusive French luxury brand. It has been exhibited at famous events, such as Karl Lagerfeld's high fashion show in Paris.

This one-of-a-kind necklace was made in 2009, sold from private collections by leading auction house Desa Unicum, and has been on display in a specially guarded display case since October 22nd.

This auction will not take the form of a regular auction, but will accept confidential bidding from October 19th to November 5th.
